Let's start with a simple question; How does the title of this article make you feel? Read it again and just sit with it for a second or two. 
Maybe initially it makes you feel a little uncomfortable or awkward? I use the term "awkward" as a broad stroke term to capture a whole range of possible emotions that we often feel but initially struggle to define. We feel something isn't right, but aren't quite sure what until we dig a little deeper and give it more thought.

Poisoned apples and self preservation

A man you don't know, have never met, and have no reason to trust, comes up to you and gives you a delicious juicy apple. He assures you the apple is perfectly fine and healthy for you to eat.

You  want to believe him because you love apples and this one looks perfect. He seems like a genuine guy and you have no real reason not to trust him but you can't make up your mind what to do. Trust and enjoy the apple, or be excessively cautious and go without.
